Dr. Dima Jamali

Dima Jamali is currently serving as Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Sharjah, UAE.

She has an amazing career, having been in academia for over 20 years, primarily at the American University of Beirut (AUB), where she served as Tenured Professor and Associate Dean for the Olayan School of Business (OSB) and Director for Strategic Partnerships for the University. She made her way fast track through the ranks to Full Professor in 2010 and Endowed Chair in Responsible Leadership in 2014. Dr. Jamali was ranked among top 2% most influential global scholars in the field of sustainability by Stanford University for two years in a row (2020 and 2021) and ranked 30 among the top 100 scientists in the UAE in 2022.

Starting in 2015, she has founded and served as President and National Representative for the UN Global Compact Network Lebanon (GCNL), a network of businesses committed to advancing Sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Lebanon.

An international, award winning Professor of Industrial Technology & Operations Management whose solid understanding of business administration in an engineering context, passion for learning, and consultative leadership style are the driving forces behind a progressively successful 30+ year career. Enjoys inspiring students across the EMEA to achieve their full academic and personal potential. Founder of academic departments, colleges and programmes, and participant in worldwide conferences. Dr. Rami holds PhD and MSc both degrees from well-recognised UK universities and he is Academic Director for International Foundation Group (UK) Programmes in Iraq, the coordinator of Innovative Projects in the field of education, The Oxford Academic Union, Oxford, UK and Industrial Engineering Thematic Leader, Education Society Chapter, IEEE United Kingdom and Ireland Section. He is an Internationally-recognised consultant with a unique prospective on mixing engineering knowledge and administrative abilities in the design, delivery of worldwide training courses and his scientific research efforts have resulted in the publication of 62 papers and three books. Dr. Rami is a member of many unions, associations, societies and journal's editorial boards around the world. He is certified in instruction and e-learning systems and has taught online courses, supervised and examined online individual, group projects and postgraduate theses, delivered online training courses, and numerous media appearance and interviewed by many TV channels.
