The 14th International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Management (ICIEM2022) was successfully held!

The 14th International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Management (ICIEM2022), hosted by the University of Victoria-London and co-organized by the International Association for Management Science and Engineering Technology (IAMSET), was successfully held on June 16, 2022 on the online conference platform. The conference was conducted in the form of an online conference in consideration of the policies and travel risks of the participants in various regions due to the impact of the COVID-19. The conference will focus on various aspects of industrial engineering and industrial management, with topics including but not limited to: Industrial Internet, Automation and Control Systems, Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, Engineering: Environment, Engineering: Manufacturing, Operations Research and Management, Logistics Engineering, Information Systems, Ergonomics/Ergonomics, and other related topics.

ICIEM2022 conference officially began at 16:30 Beijing Time on June 16 (9:30 a.m. London time on June 16). Dr. Rami Al-Hadeethi, chairman of the conference and professor of the Department of Engineering Management, the University of Victoria-London, delivered the opening speech of the conference, expressed warm congratulations on the convening of the conference, and expressed a sincere welcome to experts and scholars from all over the world. And He also encourage that all experts, scholars and participants will actively display and discuss the latest innovations, trends and concerns in the field of industrial engineering and industrial management, as well as the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted during the conference, and actively exchange each other's experience and research results. Dr. Rami Al-Hadeethi, Professor, Department of Engineering Management, Victoria University-London, gave a presentation on " Qualifying Industrial Engineering (IE) Graduates for Industry 5.0 Jobs" to the participants. Dr. Ahmad Khasawneh, Professor of Hashemite University of Jordan and President of Irbid National University, shared a presentation entitled " Air Quality Monitoring System Based on IOT" with the participants. Prof. Yining Liu from Guilin University of Electronic Science and technology gave a presentation titled "GAN-based Dummy Trajectory Generation Scheme". Dr. Zhanping Song, Deputy Director of Shaanxi Key Laboratory of Geotechnical and Underground Space Engineering, Director of Institute of Tunnel and Underground Structural Engineering, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, and Professor of School of Civil Engineering, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, shared a presentation entitled " 3D Visualization Platform for Multi-information Fusion of Open-pit Mines". Dr. Tao Zhang, Associate Professor of School of Resources and Environment, China Agricultural University, gave a presentation on "Thermal Conversion and Modified Biochar / Hydrochar Sorption to Enhance Phosphorus Recovery from Swine Manure Wastewater: Microscopic and Spectroscopic Investigations".

The oral presentation session started with a presentation entitled "An Integrated Approach for Improving Logistics Systems: A Case Study on Hospital Logistics" by Dr. Lina Al-Qatawne, Associate Professor, Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Jordan. Liangcai Dong, Head of Industrial Engineering Department, School of Logistics Engineering of Shanghai Maritime University, shared a presentation entitled "Multi-AGV Path Planning Problem in Container Yard Based on 3D A* algorithm". Lei Pang, Associate Professor of the School of Economics and Management of Yunnan Normal University shared with the participants a paper entitled "Has the Two-way Direct Investment Promoted the Transformation of the Industries from Old to New Drivers? -- Empirical Evidence from Chinese Data". Zhihao An from the School of Economics and Management of Yantai University gave a presentation entitled "Analysis of the Degree of Integration between Manufacturing and Productive Service Industries in China". Yechen Cui, Lecturer of Henan University of Economics and Law shared a presentation titled "Research on Agricultural Eco-efficiency in Xinjiang".
